about

This is 3 stories that happened out at bars in the Waterloo area. I fudged some details to fit the meter/song but these are basically it:

The first took place at a club that was sort of THE hookup spot. Guy was there for his birthday with some buddies and sort of looking to hook up (as that's basically the only real thing to achieve there). He ended up talking to a girl and through the conversation found out she was, for lack of a better term a "working girl". After a few shots he decided he'd give himself a birthday present for the night and hire her because YOLO or something. They went across the street to what-was-at-the-time a decent hotel. They got busy and she asked him if he was into kinky action. He said yes and she handcuffed him to the bed. She then stood up, dropped her pants and it turned out she was a transvestite. He/She then proceeded to jerk off over the hapless victim, take his wallet/money and leave. The maids found him there naked cuffed to a bed. He more or less spent the rest of the summer hanging out at that club with his gun because his plan was to thoroughly kill this person if he saw him/her again. It was during this stage in the story when I met him and to the best of my knowledge he never did catch the transvestite bandit.

The second story took place with a friend of mine who was constantly getting into trouble with the police for public intoxication and so forth. On a particularly long night of hard drinking he was kicked out of a bar for being belligerent so he stumbled next door to a bar that was, for lack of a better term where a black clientele hung out (I didn't get into it on this album but Waterloo has long suffered from the effects of a hard line segregation due to an influx of African Americans into the town back in the 40's/50's). Long story short (and I have corroborating witnesses), he stumbled into somebody's girlfriend and that somebody interpreted J's incoherent rambling as something racist. Eventually a stool went through the window, punches were thrown, J stumbled out and the police picked him up for another public intox. Only this time it made it in the paper with an accompanying article (with his name and address) implying he'd instigated a race-motivated fight.

The third story is about another club that would have "Rave Night" which was basically the same as any other night, but there was no cover and girls drank free. The club itself sort of had a reputation for being fairly easy to get into underage so it was basically where teenagers would go in the summer. None of this was known to my friend, he went there one night, met a girl, took her home, and "things happened". They kept in touch and she met up with him after a shift tending bar where he worked. They wandered the bars on main street in Cedar Falls and within a couple hours, they ran into the girls' father, who was tying one off. Problem was, the girl was actually 14, as the father enlightened my friend to that night (and next day). There were pics on my friends' phone of this girl in "compromising positions" she'd sent to him, and like an idiot, he forwarded it on to a friend. This was all the evidence the DA needed to convict him of distributing child pornography. He's still in prison for it.
